Sharing Spectrum the Smart Way Effect of Secondary Network Parameters on Policy Design
نویسنده
چکیده
difference in average throughput when different numbers of channels are normalized is minimal. As the number of users increases, it is clear that normalizing a higher percentage of the channels becomes more optimal. However, Fig. 3 also shows that the average throughput plateaus as the number of normalized channels increases: the marginal benefit of normalizing more channels drops off substantially. This observation suggests that there is an “optimum k” for any given scenario, where k is the number of channels normalized, using the assumption that normalizing fewer channels is more efficient.

Introduction: Due to the complexity of health services, which require the engagement of different parties for the provision of integrated services, inappropriate network governance models can lead to financial conflicts, lack of transparency of accountabilities for medical errors, and difficulties on multi-professional team working. Therefore, this study aimed to examine factors influencing the...
متن کاملSmart Cooperation with Network Coding in Hierarchical Wireless Networks
With significantly growing demand for wireless networks and services in recent years, the issue of spectrum efficiency has taken a more and more important role in the design of communication systems. To achieve more dynamic, efficient and intelligent use of the scarce wireless spectrum resource, the concept of cooperation has been formalized into several hierarchical network models in future mo...
متن کاملSpectrum Access and Sharing for Cognitive Radio
Cognitive radio (CR) has emerged as a smart solution to spectrum bottleneck faced by current wireless services, under which licensed spectrum is made available to intelligent and reconfigurable secondary users. CR technology enables these unlicensed secondary users to exploit any spectrum usage opportunity by adapting their transmission parameters on the run. In this chapter, the authors discus...

As mobile data traffic increases, and the number of services provided by the mobile network increases, service load flows as well, which requires changing in the principles, models, and strategies for media transmission streams serving to guarantee the given nature of giving a wide scope of services in Flexible and cost-effective. Right now, the fundamental question remains what number of netwo...
متن کاملSpectrum Sharing Models and Possible Bands on Management Policy
A shared band of spectrum may be managed directly by the regulator, or this responsibility may be delegated in large part to a license-holder. New forms of spectrum sharing that greatly improve spectral efficiency and alleviate scarcity, if policies are in place that support these forms of sharing. On the other hand, new technology that is inconsistent with spectrum policy will have little impa...
